The Law Firm Associates Survey - Associates speak. Leaders listen.

We’ll use the details you provide below only to:

  • Send you the link to complete the survey
  • Share a copy of the results with you once they’re published

Your information will not be used to identify you in the survey itself, and it won’t be used or shared for any other purpose.

Why your voice matters

Associates are the backbone of law firms, but too often their views are buried in internal surveys that never see the light of day. This independent survey is different.

Your answers will sit alongside those of peers across the UK, creating results with real weight, data that can’t be dismissed, and that can help shape the future of law.

It’s completely anonymous, so nothing can be traced back to you. And because the findings go directly to leaders, your views will influence the conversations that matter: from firm culture and career paths to retention and wellbeing.

This is your chance to be heard – and to help change the profession for the better.

Take part in the survey

Please complete the survey to the best of your ability – every response counts.

Remember, your feedback is completely anonymous. We take confidentiality seriously, and your personal information will never be shared.

What happens next?

The Law Firm Associates Survey will run from [date] to [date]. In October, we’ll analyse the results and produce both industry and firm-specific reports, tailored to show how firms measure up.

We look forward to sharing the overall industry report with you in early November, and as a thank you, participants will receive early access to some of the key trends before anyone else.

Leaders - are you ready to make a difference?

We’re looking for leaders who are ready to act, not just observe. The legal professional is constantly shifting, and the best firms are ones that understand what their associates really want and need.

Whether you’re a Managing Partner assessing the foundations of future growth, a HR Director focused on retention and morale, or a Marketing Director checking if your external brand matches internal reality – this survey gives you the data you can’t afford to ignore.

It costs nothing to circulate the survey internally or to receive the free top-level industry report in November. Paid options are available if you’d like benchmarking or competitor comparisons.

We are also offering a small number of firms the chance to add in some of their own questions on top of the standard questions. If your firm is interested in this please tell us as soon as possible.

Why this report will benefit your firm

This independent insight is unbiased, unfiltered, and ready to be heard. It goes further than the typical internal survey, giving you a true benchmark of how your firm compares with peers and competitors. Culture, retention, morale, performance – nothing is off the table.

With access to one of our reports, you’ll be able to spot warning signs early and act before they become costly problems. Whether it’s dissatisfaction with pay, poor work-life balance, or morale slipping, the data helps you support your associates before they decide to move on.

In the long term, these findings give you the tools to make better decisions – shaping training, refining messaging, and building an internal culture that matches your external brand and values.

And this isn’t just about HR. Managing Partners can see whether a strategy is landing. Finance Directors can weigh up the cost of attrition. Marketers and PRs gain credible, newsworthy data to fuel trade press coverage and strengthen brand authenticity.

Think of the reports as an investment in the heart of your firm – insight that helps you protect, strengthen, and grow.

How you can take part

Are you ready to step up and shape the conversation? Contact us and we’ll provide a unique survey link to share with your associates. Add encouragement from your leadership team, and you’ll maximise responses.

You can choose to take part in one of three ways:

Early Adopter

As an Early Adopter, you commit to purchasing the results before the survey even launches. You put your trust in us and actively promote the survey internally, encouraging your associates to have their say.

By joining at this early stage, you receive our most significant saving on the report of your choice and can hand-pick the competitors you want to benchmark against. Your participation will also be publicly acknowledged in our initial media release, positioning your firm as one that is willing to listen and lead.

Supporter

As a Supporter, you choose to promote the survey internally and encourage your associates to take part. You may not commit to a purchase from the outset, but you can still request an exclusive report – including firm-specific questions – as long as this is agreed before the survey goes live.

Bystander

Bystanders don’t promote the survey internally. Your associates may still complete it independently, but your firm won’t shape participation, add questions, or benefit from preferential pricing.

Your reporting options:

We understand that all firms are different, so that’s why we’ve created three reporting options to give you the level of insight that suits you best. Plus, we have made sure that all of our reports are locked down, meaning only you and your employees can access them.

The Industry Report

This is our independent analysis of the UK’s 100 largest firms. It’s credible, insightful and a benchmark on what is really happening in your sector.

The Firm + Competitor Report

We take everything in our Industry Report and add in a clear picture of your own lawn firm as it stands today. You also can see how you stack up against up to five competitors of your choice.

The Premium Firm Report

No holds barred, our Premium Firm Report gives you the fullest view of The Firm + Competitor Report with the option to add up to five of your own firm-specific questions for tailored insights that matter to your leadership team.
