Most of the sector isn’t playing.
We tracked 3,777 legal recruitment consultants and 407 agencies on LinkedIn for a full year – a third of them didn’t post once.
Of those who did, the top 10 consultants alone account for 36.5% of all power score in the top 100. That’s ten people, louder than the next 90 combined.
Nearly a third of all share of voice across the entire sector sits with just 100 individuals.
And comments are almost non-existent – even the top 100 only convert 15 comments per 100 likes.
Perhaps most notably, the opinion-led post (the format that drives real conversation, real relationships, and real instructions) is almost entirely absent from legal recruitment LinkedIn.
The UK Legal Recruiter LinkedIn index is the first dedicated ranking of LinkedIn performance across the UK’s legal recruitment sector.
It is produced by TBD Marketing in partnership with CodexEdge.
Between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026 we tracked original posts across 3,783 consultants and 411 agencies – 82,479 posts in total, generating over one million likes and comments.
The ranking formula is simple: total likes + 4 × total comments. The multiplier is deliberate. Comments are harder to earn than likes, and they signal the kind of genuine engagement that builds real professional relationships. A minimum of 12 original posts in the 12-month period is required to qualify.
