Pull quote

“What really drew me here is how driven and forward-thinking the firm is, and its genuine focus on developing and supporting its people.”
From the new-role announcement, 9 March 2026. 373 likes, 141 comments. The line that turned a routine career move into a top-five debut.

Current ranking: #5

Signature move

Career narration. Most of the people on this list post about ideas, opinions or industry observations. Newbold-Brown posts about her own trajectory. The awards, the panels, the team moves, the new role. It is a different category of content, and it travels. The three biggest posts of the quarter are all milestone posts: leaving day, awards night, first day at the new firm. Each one runs as a piece of confident, plain-spoken first-person, with images and tags that bring the network in. 100% original. Not a single reshare across 162 posts.

Topic fingerprint

  • Career milestones. Last day, first day, awards, panels. The top of the feed.
  • Family law practice. Her professional identity sits at the centre of every post. Partner and Head of Family is the lens.
  • Team and people. Recognising colleagues, celebrating their wins, naming names. Builds depth into the firm narrative.
  • Recognition and industry awards. Citywealth, International Women’s Week, Chambers, Legal 500. Used as context, not bragging.
  • Forward-looking commentary on firms and culture. What drew her to Lester Aldridge, what makes a firm “forward-thinking”, what supporting people actually looks like.

Best post of the quarter

A 9 March 2026 announcement of her new role as Partner and Head of Family at Lester Aldridge. 373 likes, 141 comments. Written without hedging. Twenty years of family law experience, a strong management background, a clear statement of what the firm offered her. Career moves are an under-rated LinkedIn category; this one shows why.

Firm context

Lester Aldridge is one of the more LinkedIn-active mid-sized firms in the TBD dataset. 262 tracked individuals contributing a combined power score of 483,061 across the window. Newbold-Brown’s 12,987 is 2.7% of that, which is striking for someone who only formally joined the firm halfway through Q1 2026. She arrived and immediately registered as a top-five voice in UK legal LinkedIn. That is not the usual onboarding trajectory.

Why follow her?

  • If you are planning a career move and you want a working example of how to narrate one without making it cringe.
  • If you run a family team or a family practice and you want to see how a Partner builds visibility for the work.
  • If you are testing whether milestone-led content can drive a ranking debut.

In her own words

One of the things I value most about LinkedIn is its ability to bring people together. It is far more than a professional networking platform; it is a place where genuine connections are formed, friendships develop, and people support one another through shared experiences, challenges, and successes.

I am incredibly honoured to have recently been ranked as a legal influencer. Seeing my name on that list was genuinely humbling, particularly because it was something I used to see others achieve and admire from afar. I never imagined that my own posts would gain enough traction or resonate with enough people to be recognised in this way.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it reflects the engagement, encouragement and support of the LinkedIn community. Every comment, conversation and connection has played a part in that journey.

For me, the real power of LinkedIn is not the rankings or accolades, but the opportunities it creates to bring people together and make a positive difference. A great example of this is a group of LinkedInfluencers that has recently been established with the aim of encouraging the next generation of lawyers to have a voice, share their experiences and support one another as they develop their careers.

In June, we will be hosting an event at my offices where members of the group and guests will come together to share stories, build connections and create a supportive network for junior lawyers. I am looking forward to seeing the conversations that emerge and the relationships that are formed.

That, to me, is the true power of LinkedIn.
